Using didactic presentations, case studies, group discussion, and a wide range of lab sessions including demonstration, hands-on, cadaveric, and simulation this initiative provides a comprehensive curriculum to better prepare the Industrial Remote Environment Medical Specials (IREMS) for their job by providing the knowledge, skills, and techniques to implement the best possible care in the industrial remote environment (IRE).  This activity will teach:

Remote clinic/hospital operation
Head-to-toe patient care in the IRE
Single and multiple trauma management*
Wound identification and management
Communication skills with Medical Control
Industry regulations governing medical care in the IRE

*This course does not take the place of ITLS.
