Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals


The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) classroom course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Target Audience: For healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, physicians, nurses, nursing students, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and others who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a BLS for Healthcare Provider Course.

Provider Course: 4-5 hours

Refresher Course: 3-4 hours

Upon successful completion of written test and skills demonstration, students receive an American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card, valid for two years.
